Hip-Hop I (Girls)

Hip-Hop I is a beginner/intermediate level recreational dance class for girls ages 10 & up held on Thursdays @ 6:30pm (9/7/17-5/20/18). The cost of this class is $270.

Through the fundamentals of hip-hop movement, the student will enjoy an upbeat and high-energy class. The class will consist of a cardio warm-up, isolations & rhythms, stretching & strengthening exercises, as well as hip-hop combinations culminating in a dance for our year-end concert. Our hip-hop classes use family-friendly music and modest dance moves to allow our students to experience this popular dance style in a God-glorifying environment. This class is 40 minutes in length.

Requirements: No experience needed. However, a year of Jazz would be helpful prior to enrolling in Hip-Hop.

A $15 non-refundable registration fee must be submitted in order to reserve your spot in this class. If you have pre-registered for the class and thereby already paid the fee, then it will be removed from your first invoice. If you are registering for more than one class or have multiple family members registering for fall classes, please email us or send a message to our Facebook page with any additional class requests so that we can waive the registration fee for additional family members and set up any subsequent payment plans properly.

The cost of this class is $270. You will be automatically enrolled in our nine month payment plan and receive an electronic invoice for the first payment no later than September 1st. Your first payment is due at that time. We offer a 10% tuition discount for students that wish to pay for the full cost of their dance classes upfront. This discount applies to tuition only (no fees or merchandise). Please email us if you wish to pay your tuition upfront. We will then cancel your payment plan and send you a new electronic invoice with the 10% discount applied. This invoice must be paid by Sept. 30th to qualify for the discount. Please note, if you choose this payment option and then withdraw at any time, for any reason, you will be charged a $30 processing fee for refunds given.

Leotard: Revolution Tank - Black*

Bottoms: Revolution Cotton Leggings - Black

Shoes: Revolution Premium Dance Sneaker - Black**

Coverups: Snug-fitting t-shirts may be acceptable - check with your instructor

*Leotards are recommended so that the torso is completely covered. Leotards may also be required under Hip-Hop costumes for our Spring Dance Production. Mid-drift shirts and bra tops are not acceptable attire for any of our classes.

**It is important that dancers DO NOT wear street shoes into class. This brings dirt and debris onto our floor that can make it unsafe and create extra maintenance. Dance sneakers are made with a specific sole material that does not create friction when turning. Friction can cause serious injury to the legs - especially the knees and ankles. If you choose not to purchase dance sneakers for class, it is imperative that the sneakers you choose have non-marking soles and be set aside for class use ONLY. For the safety of our students, we will not allow dancers to participate in class if they do not have the proper shoes.
